Click here to email. - 1 September 2010 Mike Butchers - Quadrant 61 - 63 - from Stalbridge N Dorset Last orders…………Newton Abbot Reunion 2010 Owing to change of management and loss of their chef at the Union Inn, It has been decided necessary to change the venue of this year’s event. This year’s reunion will take place on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th September 2010 and will follow previous year’s format. Friday. Informal get-together at the Queens Hotel in the evening. Saturday: If numbers dictate we will be doing the long walk back to camp along the River Lemon, passing the old camp and calling in at the o The Jolly Sailor Ogwell for lunch. We will be leaving the clock tower at 10.00 hrs. Those who do not wish to walk there is ample car parking at the Jolly Sailor where they serve reasonably priced bar food and lunches. This year’s reunion will be held at The Jolly Sailor at 19.00hrs in their excellent function room, the number of those attending will be limited to 50. A buffet will be served during the evening and there will be background music available. I am sure John and his staff will provide us with the best possible service during the evening. For those that have not been before we have a slight change to the Format this year. The Saturday function this year is in the "Fitzwilliam Suite". The event kicks off a 7pm. The entertainment is both Live and Disco 60s/70s. A buffet will be served at 9pm consisting of both HOT and COLD including a "Curry Stall" serving Beef and Chicken with rice. Dress code is SUITED and BOOTED. Look forward to seeing you there. I hope to attend the Re-union in September ( wife permitting!!).Any who know me please drop me a line.
